— About PetsAllowed Hotels

A directory for the welcome, not the brochure.

We curate pet-friendly hotels worth a whole trip — the off-leash beach at dawn, the lobby that keeps a water bowl by the door, the room that does not raise an eyebrow when your dog jumps on the sofa. You arrive knowing exactly the kind of welcome to expect.

Pet-friendly hotel at golden hour

Welcome to PetsAllowed Hotels — a curated atlas of stays where dogs (and cats, and the occasional parrot) are guests, not exceptions.

We visit each hotel ourselves and ask the questions that actually matter when you travel with a pet — surcharges, walk routes, what happens at breakfast, whether the room next to yours minds a tail thumping at six in the morning. Then we list only the places we would book again.

— What we stand by

Three principles, plainly said.

01 · Pets first

The welcome earns the page.

Every entry is hand-picked for how it treats four-legged guests — water bowls in the lobby, walks worth taking, no surcharge surprises at check-out. The room is where you sleep; the welcome is why you come.

02 · No paid placement

Affiliate links, never sponsored slots.

We earn through booking-platform commissions on links you choose to follow — never by promoting a property into the directory. A hotel earns its page on merit alone.

03 · Written by humans

Each entry visited by an editor — with a pet in tow.

Our editors stay at least two nights, off-season, on our own dime — and bring a dog along. Verified guest reviews and detailed listings give you real confidence in every choice.

— How we curate

From a tip-off to your front door.

  1. A tip-off

A reader, an editor, or a friend in the trade tells us about a hotel that treats pets like guests, not exceptions.

  2. A visit

An editor goes — with a dog along, at our cost, never the hotel's — for at least two nights, off-season where possible.

  3. A verdict

We write the page from notes, photos, and the dog's opinion. The hotel only earns a listing if the welcome is real, not a marketing line.

  4. A revisit

Every hotel is checked again at least every two seasons — and removed if it stops being itself.

Pets are family. The hotel that knows it earns the page.
