1920s CITY RETREAT Studio Flat
First Impressions
The 1920s CITY RETREAT Studio Flat caught my attention immediately — not just because of the vintage name, but because it actually delivers on that promise. This three-star studio sits right on Richmond Avenue in Dallas, and honestly, the moment you walk in, you can feel the character. It’s one of those places where someone clearly put thought into making a small space feel special, rather than just cramming furniture into a room and calling it done.
Location & Neighborhood
Richmond Avenue is actually a pretty sweet spot if you know Dallas — you’re close enough to downtown without dealing with all the chaos, and there’s this nice residential feel to the area. I mean, couples are rating this place a 9.5 for location, which makes sense when you realize how easy it is to get around from here. The parking situation alone is worth mentioning because, let’s be real, finding decent parking in Dallas can be a nightmare. Here? They’ve got free private spots right on site, which is honestly a game-changer.
The Space Itself
What I love about this studio is how they’ve managed to make it feel like an actual retreat rather than just another cramped city apartment. The 1920s theme isn’t overdone — it’s more like subtle nods to the era that give the place personality without feeling like a museum. The kitchen area is compact but functional, which matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. You know what really impressed me? The attention to detail in how everything’s laid out — nothing feels like an afterthought.
What Makes It Special
The thing about this place is that it gets the balance right between being cozy and giving you enough space to actually relax. I’ve stayed in plenty of studios that feel claustrophobic after about an hour, but this one has good flow. The windows let in decent light, and there’s something about the setup that just works for couples — which explains why so many pairs end up loving it here. It’s not trying to be fancy, but it’s definitely trying to be comfortable, and that shows.
Why Guests Love It
Look, a 9.0 rating doesn’t happen by accident, especially for a studio flat. People keep coming back to this place because it delivers on the basics really well — good location, free parking, and a space that actually feels like a retreat from the city. The pet-friendly policy is just the cherry on top, honestly. When you’re traveling with your dog or cat, finding a place that welcomes them without making you feel like you’re asking for a huge favor makes all the difference. Plus, Richmond Avenue has some decent spots for dog walks if that’s what you need.
Pet allowed hotels blend cozy lobbies, fenced garden spaces, and staff who remember your dog’s name by checkout.

Attentive responsive hosts. Great quiet property minutes from Lower Greenville. Would give a better rating if I could.

The location is perfect for anyone coming to Dallas. It's walking distance to anything you would need! The communication was a little difficult through the website but that doesn't reflect on the host. The host is fantastic! I only had a difficult time with the door because the booking was so last minute.
Bethany
We loved the comfortable bed, convenient and well-equipped neighborhood and the incredibly relaxing showerhead.
