First Impressions
Walking up to ibis Daumesnil Porte Doree, you’ll find yourself on a tree-lined boulevard that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos of central Paris. This three-star hotel sits in the 12th arrondissement, and honestly, it’s one of those spots that locals know about but visitors often overlook. The building has that clean, modern ibis aesthetic — nothing fancy, but you know exactly what you’re getting, which is actually pretty reassuring when you’re traveling with pets.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this area — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough away that you can actually breathe. The Bois de Vincennes is practically next door, which is perfect if you’re traveling with dogs since it’s one of Paris’s largest green spaces. You know what’s really convenient? The Porte Dorée metro station is just a short walk away, putting you on Line 8, so getting to the Champs-Élysées or Opéra takes maybe 20 minutes. Couples seem to really appreciate this balance — the location scored an impressive 8.8 with pairs, probably because it feels like you’re living in a real Parisian neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble.
The Room Experience
The room itself is classic ibis — compact but thoughtfully designed, with everything you need and nothing you don’t. I mean, don’t expect marble bathrooms or Egyptian cotton sheets, but the bed is surprisingly comfortable and the shower has good pressure. What impressed me most was how pet-friendly they actually are — they don’t just tolerate your furry friend, they genuinely welcome them. The floors are easy to clean (trust me, this matters), and there’s enough space for a dog bed without feeling cramped.
Breakfast & Amenities
The buffet breakfast is honestly better than you’d expect from a mid-range chain hotel. They’ve got the usual suspects — croissants, coffee, eggs — but also some nice touches like fresh fruit and decent cheese selections. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re an early riser (or your dog is), you’ll have a more relaxed experience going earlier. There’s parking available, which is actually a big deal in Paris — I’ve stayed at places where finding a spot turned into a two-hour adventure.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it handles the practical stuff without making you feel like you’re compromising on the experience. The staff genuinely seems to understand that pet owners have different needs — they’ll point you toward the best walking routes and don’t bat an eye when you ask about nearby pet stores. Recent guests rated the location 8.7, and after spending time in the neighborhood, I get it. You’re close to the Château de Vincennes if you want some history, the Marché aux Puces flea markets are reachable, and honestly, just wandering around this part of Paris feels more authentic than staying near the Eiffel Tower. It’s the kind of place where you can have a genuine Parisian experience without breaking the bank or stressing about your pet.
Pet allowed hotels blend cozy lobbies, fenced garden spaces, and staff who remember your dog’s name by checkout.

Roza
It was a very clean number but very small, it is Ibis and it was not new to us the location was very convenient, right next to the metro entrance, near the tram station, and if some people want to travel from Paris Bercy bus station, this hotel is also convenient, especially for short visits, I would definitely recommend using it.
Remco
Located next to a metro station on line 8, bringing you to the city center in c 20 mins. On the day of departure luggage will be stored at no extra cost. The restaurant opposite the hotel (Les Cascades) has nice food and drinks and delicious crême brulée.
Mey
The hotel is very close to metro station (less than 100m) & tram stop Porte Doree (right outside the hotel). Fast food joints (McD, Subway) are also very close along with local boulangeries & supermarkets. Across the street is a really nice & big park where you can strolled & have a picnic after getting something from the farmers market nearby...

I was looking for a hotel with a bar where we could relax with a drink after the day.
Sadly this Ibis didn’t have that but it was really good in all other aspects. So close to the metro. Really good breakfast. Comfortable bed - important after a day of touring!
Alexandru
Very close to the metro station. Cheap breakfast, not many diversities but enough to have a good start for the day. Comfortable bed.
