Millennium Downtown New York
First Impressions
Walking into the Millennium Downtown New York, you immediately feel like you’re in the heart of everything that matters in New York. This four-star hotel sits right on Church Street in the Financial District, and honestly — the location is pretty spectacular. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the 9/11 Memorial, Stone Street’s cobblestone charm, and the Staten Island Ferry terminal. The lobby has that polished business hotel vibe without being stuffy, which actually works perfectly for this neighborhood.
The Room Experience
Here’s what really surprised me about staying here — the beds are genuinely fantastic. You know how hotels always claim their beds are amazing? Well, this place actually delivers on that promise. The room I stayed in wasn’t huge (this is Manhattan, after all), but it was smartly designed with everything you need. The windows offer decent views depending on which floor you’re on, and the soundproofing is solid considering you’re in one of the busiest parts of the city. The bathrooms are clean and modern, though nothing too fancy — just well-maintained and functional.
Location Magic
What makes this spot special is how connected you feel to both historic and modern New York. Stone Street is right around the corner — that’s where you’ll find some of the best after-work crowds and outdoor dining when the weather’s nice. The subway access is excellent too; you’ve got multiple lines within a few blocks, so getting uptown to Midtown or Brooklyn is straightforward. Couples seem to really love this area (they rate it 9.6, which is pretty impressive), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about wandering these old financial district streets at night.
Practical Details
The breakfast situation here is grab-and-go style, which honestly works better than you’d think for this location. You can pick up your breakfast and walk over to Battery Park to eat with a view of the harbor, or just head straight to your meetings if you’re here on business. The staff is helpful without being overly chatty — they seem to understand that most guests are either here for work or trying to efficiently explore the city. Parking is available, though like everywhere in this part of Manhattan, it’s going to cost you.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, well-located place to sleep in one of New York’s most interesting neighborhoods. You’re not paying for over-the-top amenities you won’t use — instead, you’re getting a comfortable bed, a great location, and easy access to both the historic sites downtown and quick transportation everywhere else. The Financial District has really come alive in recent years, especially on weekends, and staying here puts you right in the middle of that transformation. For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to beat.

You can’t beat the view, it’s amazing. The bed is big and comfy and the tv has a lot of channels. The location is great, near all subway stations.
Kelly
The hotel is perfectly located! Subway stations everywhere around the hotel.
Cornelia
The location was fantastic, but the property is “tired”. It is currently being renovated, so soon there will be fridges that work, a restaurant, new carpets, elevators with better lighting and with buttons that work, etc. I really missed grab bars in the bathtub. The size of the room was great, and I loved the lovely, large bathroom AND counter...
