The lobby has this understated cool factor that perfectly captures the neighborhood’s artistic vibe without trying too hard. You know what I mean — it’s polished enough to feel special, but not so fancy that you’re worried about tracking in a bit of street grit from exploring the cobblestone streets outside.

Honestly, the location on Crosby Street is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the heart of SoHo without dealing with the Broadway tourist madness. You’re literally steps away from some of the best boutique shopping in New York, and I mean the kind of places where you’ll find things you won’t see anywhere else. The cast-iron architecture surrounding the hotel creates this incredible backdrop — it’s like staying inside a piece of the city’s history. Couples seem to get this especially well, which makes sense given how romantic those tree-lined streets can feel, particularly in the evening when the gallery lights start glowing.

The Room Experience

The rooms at this four-star property actually live up to the hype about comfortable beds — and I’m someone who’s pretty picky about sleep quality when traveling. There’s something about the way they’ve designed the spaces that feels both modern and cozy, which isn’t always easy to pull off in Manhattan where square footage comes at a premium. The room I stayed in had these great windows that let in plenty of natural light, making the space feel larger than it probably was.
